Is Doom Eternal compatible with PlayStation 5?

Doom Eternal is a First-person shooter game for PS4, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks.

Doom Eternal (PS4) is backwards compatible with the PlayStation 5, offering a single graphics display mode running Dynamic 1440p (1440p) resolution at Locked 60 FPS.

The game has also been upgraded to make use of additional features of the PlayStation 5. This requires the download of a separate version of the game, listed on the PlayStation Store under the 'PS5' tag.

The PlayStation 5 Native version of the game offers multiple graphics options as listed below under PlayStation 5 Version performance.

Free PS5 Version Upgrade

This game comes with a free update to the PlayStation 5 native version.

If you own the digital version, you can download the PS5 edition from the PlayStation Store. If you own the disc version, you can download the PS5 edition but will need to insert the disc each time you play.
